Central City Studios
Conceived by Tim Barnett and presented to State Government of Victoria in 2001, Central City Studios (now Docklands Studios) became Victoria’s first purpose built Film & Television Studio Complex. Funded both by government and private funds, CCS designed, constructed, owned and operated the facility until 2009.
In it’s first 2 years of operation, CCS attracted many local and international productions to the complex including “Ghost Rider” (Columbia/Sony Pictures Production); “The Extra”(Australian FF); “Hating Alison Ashley” (FF); “Deal or No Deal” (Australian Television games show) and “Last Man Standing” (Australian drama series) just to name a few.
Tim Barnett was the CEO and Executive Director of CCS until the business was sold in late 2009.
